Rules of the Game

Predict the score of every game. Points are awarded per game once the result is in. Points never stack — each game gives you exactly one award: the highest you qualify for.

4 pts
Knockout draw + correct penalties winner. You predicted a draw, the game really was a draw after extra time, and you named the team that won the shoot-out.
3 pts
Exact score. Your scoreline matches the result exactly.
2 pts
Correct outcome. You got the home win, away win, or draw right — but not the exact score.
0 pts
Anything else, including having no prediction saved when the game kicks off.

Group games

The score you enter implies the outcome (home win / away win / draw), shown live as you type. There are no penalties — a drawn group game is simply a draw.

Knockout games

The “score” is the score after extra time (if the game goes that far). A drawn knockout score means the tie was settled on penalties, so when you predict a draw you must also pick which team wins the shoot-out. Admins enter results the same way: the after-extra-time score, plus the penalties winner for a draw.

The 4-point award only needs both your prediction and the result to be draws and your penalties pick to be right — the drawn scorelines don’t have to be identical (predicting 1–1 still scores 4 against a 2–2 result if you called the shoot-out correctly).

The leaderboard

Players are ranked by total points. Ties are broken by the most exact scores (3- or 4-point games where your scoreline matched), and then alphabetically by name.
